Advice on developing healthcare and health care for people in Nghe An province by 2030
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of August 31, the People's Committee of Nghe An province organized a scientific workshop on Developing the medical career and health care for people in Nghe An province until 2030.
Comrades Nguyen Viet Tien - Permanent Deputy Minister of Health; Luong Ngoc Khue - Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management; Le Minh Thong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Duong Dinh Chinh - Acting Director of the Department of Health chaired the workshop.
Attending the workshop were representatives of leaders of Departments, Divisions, and Institutes under the Ministry of Health; Directors of Central Hospitals, leaders of the Department of Health of Ha Tinh province;
On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; representatives of leaders of departments, branches, People's Committees of districts, cities, towns and medical units in the province.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, comrade Le Minh Thong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee stated: Implementing Resolution 26 of the Politburo, Resolution No. 10 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee with the goal of contributing to building and perfecting the synchronous health care network for people in Nghe An province from the province to the grassroots, gradually modernizing, increasingly better meeting the needs of health care and protection of the people, over the past 5 years, the work of health care and protection of people in the province has achieved many important results.
Specifically, the basic health target programs achieved and exceeded the set plan. The annual full vaccination rate for children under 1 year old reached over 95%. The rate of malnutrition in children under 5 years old decreased to 17%. The HIV/AIDS infection rate in the community remained below 0.3%.

The quality of medical examination, treatment and health care for the people has been significantly improved, many advanced techniques have been deployed at the central level. The rate of referrals has decreased. The basic service style and attitude has satisfied patients. The network of medical examination, treatment and rehabilitation has developed rapidly and is increasingly specialized.
Nghe An has completed a number of goals to build a high-tech center for the North Central region in Vinh City, such as putting the new Provincial General Friendship Hospital into operation; establishing the Oncology Hospital, the Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, the Trauma - Orthopedics Hospital...

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Minh Thong expressed: In order to continue to carry out the task of caring for and protecting people's health in the province and achieve the goals set out in Resolution 26, the Provincial People's Committee organized a scientific seminar with the hope that leaders of the Ministry of Health, leaders of Departments, Bureaus, Institutes, Central Hospitals, scientists, leading experts, departments and branches of the province... will contribute valuable solutions and opinions to help Nghe An province find the best solutions for the development of the health sector until 2030.

The Department of Health and medical units need to research and advise the province on development priorities in key areas, in a scientific order, to effectively carry out the medical career and health care for the people of Nghe An province in the coming time.
At the workshop, representatives of leaders of Departments, Institutes, Bureaus under the Ministry of Health, departments, branches, People's Committees of districts, cities and medical facilities focused on discussing and giving advice to Nghe An with key contents such as: Strategic orientation for health development in Nghe An province to 2030; high-tech development commensurate with the North Central High-Tech Medical Center; current situation and orientation for applying information technology in the health sector to 2030; implementation of the project to innovate grassroots health care in the new situation.../.
