(Baonghean.vn) - On September 1, Tuong Duong District Police summoned 6 people to clarify false information about the Ban Ve Hydropower Plant dam breaking, causing panic and anxiety among the people.

Those summoned include Vu Van Phuc, born in 1988; Nguyen Quang Trung, born in 1991, residing in Hoa Trung block, Hoa Binh town; Vi Thanh Dinh, born in 1997, Lo Bao Ngoc, born in 1999, residing in Phong village, Thach Giam commune; Phan Thi Tran, born in 1982, residing in Cua Rao 2 village, Xa Luong commune; Phan Duy Tung, born in 1987, residing in Quang Yen village, Tam Dinh commune (Tuong Duong).

Previously, at 9:00 a.m. on August 31, 2018, when Ban Ve Hydropower Plant discharged floodwater with a large flow of 4,200 m3/s, some people took advantage of people's confusion and spread the news through Facebook that Ban Ve Hydropower Plant had broken its dam, causing people to fear and panic.

Immediately after receiving the information, using professional measures, with the support of Nghe An Provincial Police, Tuong Duong Police conducted an investigation and screening to clarify the behavior of those involved.
