Earlier, the media found out that Petrov, who together with Ruslan Boshirov was charged with attempting to murder the Skripal family member born on July 31, 1979, was an employee of the State Enterprise Research and Production Company "Microgen" specializing in the production of immunobiological products.
“I know nothing about it and have no connection with the Skripal story. It is a complete coincidence: that I did not go to London, I could not even go to Altai. I work as the head of the branch of the Microgen Research and Production Company in Tosmk - the research and production agency of Virion,” Petrov told RT.
Last night, the British Prosecutor's Office announced that two Russian citizens - Alexandr Petrov and Ruslan Boshirov - were charged under four articles of the law, including the attempted murder of former GRU officer Sergei Skripal, his daughter Yulia and police officer Nick Bailey. British Prime Minister Theresa May called the suspects employees of the Russian Federal Intelligence Service (GRU).
In Salisbury, England, on March 4, former intelligence colonel Sergei Skripal, who worked for the British special services, and his daughter Yulia were poisoned. The British side asserted that the Russian State was involved in the "poisoning" of Skripal with substance A234, which they consider to be equivalent to "Novichok". Russia firmly denies all allegations of involvement in the "Skripal case".
Yulia Skripal said in a video released by Reuters on May 23 that she hoped to return to Russia. She also mentioned the Russian Embassy in London for help, but noted that she did not want to ask for help at the moment.
