90-year-old woman dies while collecting medicinal herbs in the mountains

On the afternoon of September 8, Mr. Nguyen Sy Hung - Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Duong Commune (Thanh Chuong) said that the body of Nguyen Thi Luong (born in 1938, residing in Hamlet 4, Thanh Duong Commune) was found after more than 1 day of missing. According to information provided by her family, on the morning of September 7, after visiting her brother's house, Luong took a sickle to pick medicinal leaves. By noon, when she did not return, her family organized a search.
After receiving the news, Thanh Duong commune authorities mobilized forces to search. At around 12 noon today, the search force discovered Mr. Luong's body on Dong Kieng mountain in hamlet 3, Thanh Duong).
Mr. Hung also ruled out the possibility that Mr. Luong's death was related to murder.
However, the local authorities also asked the family to invite forensic experts to examine the body and find the cause of Luong's death, but the family did not agree. In the early afternoon, the old woman's body was brought home by relatives for burial.
