The little girl from Nghe An province caused a sensation on the stage of The Voice Kids Vietnam when she sang in English.

Audiences have long been familiar with Quynh Nhu's voice through sweet folk melodies and songs with folk influences, but now, in the first episode of The Voice Kids 2018, everyone was surprised when the girl from the rice-growing region "debuted" with an English song - A Moment Like This.

Immediately after finishing this song, Quynh Nhu revealed that her forte was folk music and performed two folk songs from Nghe Tinh and Southern Vietnam. Nhu's performance not only delighted the audience but also completely won over all six coaches.

Everyone was astonished, not expecting the "folk song girl" to sing in English so well. Coach Bao Anh expressed: "I believe that one day, you will sit in this chair. Since you sing so well, let me be your fan!" Coach Khac Hung made a very "heated" move by giving up his powerful chair and switching places with Quynh Nhu on stage.

Some coaches felt that Quynh Nhu was being bold and daring by choosing a song outside her usual style for the competition. Coach Vu Cat Tuong commented: "What's great about you is that when you sing in English, no one realizes you can sing folk songs. You sing English very well." In response to the coaches' sincere praise, the girl from Nghe An could only offer a charming smile as a thank you.
