According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 4:00 a.m. on September 17, the center of the storm is located at about 22.6 degrees North latitude; 109.3 degrees East longitude, on the mainland south of Guangdong province (China). The strongest wind near the center of the storm is level 9-10 (75-100km/hour),level 12. The range of strong winds of level 6, gusting to level 8 or higher is about 200km from the center of the storm; The range of strong winds of level 10 or higher is about 70km from the center of the storm.

Over the next 12 to 24 hours,The tropical depression moved in a west-northwest direction, traveling about 25km per hour and gradually weakened into a low-pressure area. At 4:00 a.m. on September 18, the center of the low-pressure area was located at about 24.8 degrees North latitude; 103.5 degrees East longitude, on the mainland south of Guangxi province (China). The strongest wind in the center of the low-pressure area decreased to below level 6 (below 40km/hour).

The Viet Bac and Northwest regions will have moderate to heavy rain with common rainfall of 50-100mm, especially in Ha Giang, Lao Cai, and Lai Chau, 100-150mm. Other areas in the North and Thanh Hoa will have rain, moderate rain.

Flood warning:From September 17-19, a flood will occur in the upper reaches of the Red River-Thai Binh River system with a flood amplitude of 2-5m.
