On September 17, the Russian Defense Ministry announced data: the missile's effectiveness has been established, it was sent to the Ukrainian military unit in 1986. Russia called on the international investigation team to demand that Ukraine present all the necessary documents about the missile.
“This is an absolute lie. This is another forgery,” Poltorak said at a press conference on Monday.
Chairman of the Verkhovnaya Rada of Ukraine Andrei Parubiy also called the Russian side's statement that the missile that shot down the Malaysian Boeing MH17 over Donbass airspace belongs to Ukraine fake news.
