Colorful house interior made from 10,000 glass bottles
More than 10,000 glass bottles and tens of thousands of plastic bottle caps are made into unique furniture and items in a house in the middle of Saigon.

For 15 years of tirelessly creating and recycling, Mr. Dinh Nguyen Binh (50 years old, in Tan Phu district, Ho Chi Minh City) has made many home furniture items from glass bottles and plastic bottle caps that he collected and gathered. |

In Mr. Binh's house, almost all the furniture such as tables, chairs, lamps, beds, etc. are made from glass bottles. |

“I used to like collecting wine bottles, then I happened to see my friends throwing away a lot of glass bottles so I asked to take them home. In my free time, I tried to make some small items to display in the house, and then I suddenly fell in love with recycling,” Mr. Binh shared. |

This special house is called "The House of Giving Back" by Mr. Binh and his wife, which is a play on words "The House of Bottles". Almost all the furniture in the house was designed and made by Mr. Binh himself in the recycling corner of his house. |

To get these unique items, Mr. Binh had to beg or buy glass bottles and plastic caps from many places. Then he and his family members washed and dried them. When they had enough bottles, they started designing the objects and started making them. |

The ceiling lamp is assembled from glass bottles in a very skillful and unique way. According to Mr. Binh, to make household items, he will choose thick and hard-to-break glass bottles to ensure safety. |

He also made glass bottles and steel pipes into decorative objects such as dragonflies, Christmas trees, flower branches, and many other animals. |

The couple’s bed was made by Mr. Binh to celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary. It weighs more than 100 kg, is made from more than 200 bottles and took many days to complete. On the headboard is a large heart made from thousands of plastic bottle caps. |

In addition to glass bottles, plastic bottle caps, screws, water pipes... are also recycled by the homeowner and assembled into paintings to decorate the house. |

Mr. Binh said that in order to make decorations and furniture for his house, he had to collect and recycle about 10,000 glass bottles of different sizes and colors. "In the coming time, I will focus on completing some paintings made from bottle caps, the theme may be famous people in the world," Mr. Binh shared. |
