V.League referee from Nghe An suddenly passed away due to traffic accident
(Baonghean.vn) - Referee Tran Dang Khoa, who had just completed his duties well in the Saigon derby yesterday, suddenly passed away due to an accident on his way home.
Assistant referee Tran Dang Khoa suddenly passed away this morning (September 20) after a traffic accident. At that time, he was riding a motorbike from Ho Chi Minh City back to his home in Binh Duong.
Specifically, a few minutes ago, the head of the Referee Board of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) – Nguyen Van Mui just announced this sad news. Mr. Mui said that this assistant referee born in 1981 did not survive due to very serious injuries.

Just last night, September 19, assistant referee Tran Dang Khoa completed his duties very well with his colleagues in the Saigon derby between Ho Chi Minh City Club and Saigon FC at Thong Nhat Stadium in round 23 - V.League 2018.
However, this morning, on his way back to his family in Thu Dau Mot city (Binh Duong), Mr. Khoa collided with another motorbike and suddenly passed away.
Currently, the Arbitration Board and some referee supervisors in Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong have carried out procedures at the hospital to bring assistant Tran Dang Khoa home.
Assistant referee Tran Dang Khoa, born in 1981, originally from Thanh Chuong, Nghe An, according to Mr. Nguyen Van Mui, is a capable assistant, previously worked in the First Division and was promoted to work in the V.League since 2018. This assistant referee has also been invited to work in a number of youth tournaments and international friendly tournaments over the years.
It is known that the Referee Board of the Vietnam Football Federation and Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) will support the family in conducting the funeral for assistant Tran Dang Khoa.
