Vietnam has two representatives participating, Vo Van Dai and Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat. In the recent match at Axiata Arena, Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat faced off against Chinese opponent Zhao Zhanshi in the 60kg weight class.
Zhao Zhanshi is a formidable opponent with 25 wins, including 11 knockout wins. However, this boxer still succumbed to world champion, Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat.
In this match, Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat continuously pressured his opponent. In the end, he won by points after 3 rounds. Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat's strengths such as quick movements, precise strikes... were shown.
This is the second time Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat has defeated a Chinese opponent. Previously, at the tournament held in Singapore last September, he defeated Guang Wan Huang after 2 rounds.
Meanwhile, another representative of Vietnam, Vo Van Dai, lost on points to home boxer Mohd Fazzatkie in the 63 kg weight class.
