Ho Chi Minh City Electricity Corporation has officially informed about the power outage, causing interruption of access to a series of electronic newspapers, electronic information websites, games, Zalo applications... on September 23.
The information clearly stated that, according to the Power Outage Plan for grid repair work (replacing 2 cable ends at station T8-9 and 1 cable end at station T12-13), on Tuesday (September 18), An Phu Dong Power Company (under EVN Ho Chi Minh City) sent a document to Quang Trung Software Park informing about the plan to temporarily suspend power supply to carry out the above work on Sunday, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on September 23.
This document requests Quang Trung Software Park to coordinate in notifying businesses in the Park of the electricity industry's plan and prepare backup power sources for replacement. And, Quang Trung Software Park confirms that it has notified businesses.
On Sunday morning (September 23), the electricity industry cut off the power to carry out the work as previously announced. Enterprises in the Park used backup power sources to supply electricity, including VNG.
"During the operation of the backup generator, VNG had an incident that caused a power outage, affecting the provision of technical services to operate electronic news sites and electronic newspapers. After the incident occurred, An Phu Dong Power Company coordinated with VNG to fix the problem," information from EVN Ho Chi Minh City stated.
According to the monitoring of VietnamPlus e-newspaper reporters at 7:20 p.m., sites such as thanhnien.vn, zing.vn, toquoc.vn, vov.vn, baomoi.com,... have resumed operations. However, vinadata.vn and VNG's Zalo application are still inaccessible./.
