Appraisal of criteria for new rural construction in Yen Thanh
(Baonghean.vn) - On October 2, the Provincial Council for Appraisal of the National Target Program on New Rural Development visited Khanh Thanh and Ly Thanh communes, Yen Thanh district for appraisal. These are 2/27 communes registered to reach the new rural target of the province in 2018.

To assess the actual implementation of the 19 criteria of the localities, the Provincial New Rural Area Appraisal Council inspected the actual traffic system and welfare works, visited economic development models... in the area of Khanh Thanh and Ly Thanh communes.
Khanh Thanh commune's report shows that by October 2018, the locality had achieved 18/19 NTM criteria (1 market criterion was not implemented). In 7 years of implementation, Khanh Thanh has mobilized more than 383 billion VND to invest in NTM criteria. Of which, people contributed more than 287 billion VND, the rest is from the central budget, the province and other sources of capital.

In Ly Thanh commune, after 7 years of implementing the new rural construction, the locality has mobilized more than 114 billion VND to invest in infrastructure construction. Up to now, the locality has completed 19/19 new rural criteria. The rural appearance has improved a lot, the economic and social infrastructure has been invested synchronously, the transportation system has been gradually completed; the medical station has been invested in and built spaciously, meeting the initial medical examination and treatment needs of the people...
It is worth noting that both Khanh Thanh and Ly Thanh communes have no outstanding debts in building new rural areas.

Members of the Provincial New Rural Area Appraisal Council highly appreciated the efforts of localities in directing the implementation of the program, especially the transportation criteria which have received large investments, with the active participation of all classes of people. In addition, members noted that localities need to continue to improve the criteria, especially the criteria on culture, environment, education, etc.
Comrade Nguyen Van Lap - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development requested Khanh Thanh and Ly Thanh communes to accept the opinions of the members of the Provincial New Rural Appraisal Council to continue perfecting the criteria, supplementing information fully and accurately to complete the dossier for Yen Thanh district to submit to the Provincial Appraisal Council for approval./.
