(Baonghean.vn) - In hamlet 10B, Nghia An commune (Nghia Dan), if you ask about Mr. Nguyen Van Tan, everyone will know him. With nearly 40 years in the Party, more than 60 years of life, and more than 20 years as secretary and head of the front work committee of a Catholic hamlet, he is always exemplary, a nucleus of solidarity between Catholics and non-Catholics, trusted by the Party Committee, government and Catholics.
Mr. Tan confided that after more than 20 years of continuous involvement with the local movement, the greatest achievement of him and the grassroots political system is the stable situation, the people's trust in the Party and the government is always maintained, and for many years the parish has been peaceful. Thanks to that, the hamlet has always been one of the leading units of the district and commune.
To achieve that result, in his work, he always spends a lot of time to contact and learn, promptly share joys and sorrows, and grasp the ideological developments of the people. He also regularly works with the Front's working group to update and grasp the policies, laws of the State, and local regulations; Regularly contacts the Priest and the Parish Pastoral Council to learn, integrate worldly and religious affairs, find a common voice and direction so that everyone can both grasp the policies and fulfill their duties as parishioners for the common good of the community.

For example, in the construction of the new rural area, thanks to his propaganda and mobilization, the parishioners in the hamlet agreed to contribute 3,100 thousand VND per household, along with a day's labor to complete 2 km of rural roads, not to mention the money contributed to build a cultural house, install a street lighting system...
In addition to the above, he was the first person in the village to boldly bid for the commune's land to reclaim for the VAC model. Up to now, from planting acacia and lemon trees, combined with raising buffalo, chickens, and fish ponds, each year brings his family an income of nearly 200 million VND.
From economic stability, he has the conditions to help other households with poverty alleviation orientation, technical support, plants, and breeds, along with actively contacting all levels and sectors so that people can access preferential capital sources to invest in expanding the development of cultivation and dairy farming, contributing to job creation and increasing income. Thanks to that, up to now, the whole hamlet with 173 households, only 14 households are poor.

Commenting on Mr. Tan, Mr. Vo Canh Hoa - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Nghia An commune said: Mr. Tan is an exemplary cadre, always putting enthusiasm and dedication first, especially "practicing what he preaches". This is a shining example in the movement of living "good life, good religion" in the locality.
