Integrating investment and trade promotion activities when sending delegations abroad
(Baonghean.vn) - That was the opinion of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Hoa in the meeting of the Provincial People's Committee to listen and give opinions on the draft program of foreign affairs activities of Nghe An province in 2019 which took place on the morning of October 8.

At the meeting, delegates listened to the Department of Foreign Affairs report on the draft foreign affairs program for 2019. According to the Department of Foreign Affairs, in 2019, the plan was developed early; after appraisal, the quality of registered delegations was improved; in which the composition of delegations going abroad was tightened, the number of people going was suitable for the requirements of the business trip, the delegation's budget was arranged more reasonably; the working content of the delegations going abroad was clear, specific, and practical.

Specifically, it is expected that in 2019, there will be 154 delegations going abroad, 124 foreign delegations visiting and working with the province; concentrated in a number of countries and regions such as Laos, China, some ASEAN countries, some East Asian countries... with the purposes of international cooperation, research and survey, investment promotion, trade, tourism, visiting and working...
However, some units have not developed plans for delegations to leave closely and are unrealistic. Some units have not yet fully understood the relevant regulations, so they have developed plans for delegations to leave and enter in a haphazard and unreasonable manner, violating the regulations of the Central and the province.

Expected key foreign affairs activities in 2019: Organizing a conference to meet investors in the Spring of the Pig 2019; organizing domestic and international investment, trade, tourism and technology transfer promotion activities; organizing a meeting with Japan in the North Central region in Nghe An; organizing a dialogue with the Korean business association in Vietnam; Organizing a conference to promote trade and investment in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia; Deploying the construction of the VILenin statue in Vinh city and inaugurating it on the occasion of VILenin's birthday. The province also organized a program to meet Nghe An expatriates returning to their homeland to celebrate the Spring of the Pig 2019.
Regarding foreign economic relations, focus on promoting and attracting foreign direct investment (FDI); attracting official development assistance (ODA); attracting foreign non-governmental aid (NGO); trade promotion activities; tourism promotion; import and export activities.

After listening to the opinions of representatives of departments, branches and localities, concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Hoa emphasized: The foreign affairs program, the plan for outgoing and incoming delegations of the province and its subordinate agencies are built in accordance with the regulations of the Party and the State, which is the basis for organizing the unified management of foreign affairs activities in Nghe An province. The development of foreign affairs programs and plans for outgoing and incoming delegations must be effective, practical, economical, meeting the needs of foreign affairs activities to contribute to the socio-economic development of the province.
