Quang Ninh Provincial Police said they have initiated a criminal case, prosecuted and detained Pham Huu Nam (26 years old) and Le Cong Tuan (21 years old) to investigate the act of illegally storing and trading military weapons.

Expanding the investigation, Quang Ninh Provincial Police arrested Tuan, confiscated three more guns and ammunition boxes, and some equipment used to make guns.

Tuan confessed that he regularly collected and bought guns and ammunition on the internet and then resold them for profit. In mid-August, Tuan sold Nam an AR15 and some ammunition for the AR15 and the K54. Tuan also agreed to repair two carbines for Nam.
