(Baonghean.vn) - Unwanted collisions often cause dents on cars. Instead of having to take your car to the garage to fix it, you can quickly and effectively handle dents and dents yourself when you know the following methods.

1. Use boiling water

This is a fairly simple way to deal with dents, however, you can only apply it to the front and rear bumpers of the car made of plastic. First, pour boiling water on the dented part to expand the plastic, combined with that, put your hand behind the bumper and push them out.

If the dent is in a position that cannot be reached from the inside, do the following: when you pour out all the boiling water, immediately pour ice water on the dent, the sudden change in temperature will make the dent return to normal.

2. Remove dents with dry ice

Dry ice (also known as smoke ice) is solid carbon dioxide used in food preservation, pharmaceuticals in medicine...Use a large or small piece of dry ice depending on the size of the dent. Circle the dent with a crayon to apply the compress in the right place (because the condensation will be hard to see when applying the compress).

Then use a cotton towel to wrap dry ice and apply it continuously to the dented area for 10 to 20 minutes; remove the towel and observe (look from the side), if the dented area is still faint, continue applying more. Use a clean towel to wipe again.

3. Use a hair dryer and compressed air

Similar to using boiling water, however, when using a hair dryer combined with cold air from a spray bottle, you will increase the effectiveness achieved. First, turn on the hair dryer at the highest setting and heat the dented part for about 2-3 minutes, then immediately turn the bottle upside down and spray on the heated area, turning it upside down will let the coldest air in the bottle escape. When the hot air meets the cold air, the plastic part will pop out, returning to its original shape.

4.Using a vacuum cleaner and funnel

Use tape to connect the vacuum cleaner head to the funnel, making sure it is airtight. Then tape the funnel so that it covers the dent in the car.

After the gluing process is complete, turn on the vacuum cleaner at the highest vacuum mode. This also helps to quickly remove the dent on the car body.

5. Use a stiff metal rod with the tip curved up.

If the dent is in a place where you can insert a metal rod, use the curved end of the metal rod to apply pressure and the dent will disappear. This is a very simple method, but it is very effective.

6. Use silicone glue, wood blocks and screws

This method is very effective for large and “stubborn” dents. First, you need to prepare a few cylindrical or square blocks of wood, a silicone gun and a screw (the kind with a pointed tip and a groove). Screw the nail through the block of wood to act as a support for your fingers, then apply silicone glue to each block of wood and stick them into the dent, wait for the glue to dry and finally ask a few friends to help pull them out.

The best results are achieved when you pull out these blocks of wood at the same time, because the force will be distributed evenly on the surface of the dent. At this time, the stubborn dent has disappeared, restoring the beauty of the car.
