(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of October 12, the Emulation and Reward Committee, Department of Home Affairs of Nghe An province held a ceremony to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its establishment (October 14, 2008 - October 14, 2018) and received a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister.

Attending the ceremony on the Central side were comrade Tran Thi Ha - Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Head of the Central Emulation and Rewards Committee. Effectively and substantially implement emulation movements

On October 14, 2008, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 4504/QD-UBND on the establishment of the Emulation and Rewards Committee. After 10 years of construction and development, the Emulation and Rewards Committee has successfully completed its assigned tasks such as: advising on the issuance of documents; advising, directing the launching and implementation of emulation movements that are increasingly widespread, effective and practical...

In particular, in 10 years, the Emulation and Reward Committee has advised on awarding the title of Vietnamese Heroic Mother to 1,876 cases (of which 181 were conferred, 1,695 were posthumously awarded); 31 People's Armed Forces Hero, 4 Labor Hero, 15 National Emulation Fighter; 170 collectives were awarded Emulation Flags of the Government; 690 cases were awarded Medals of all ranks; 1,502 cases were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Prime Minister; 1,104 collectives were awarded Emulation Flags of the Provincial People's Committee; 48,454 cases were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; 11,387 cases were awarded Youth Volunteers who completed their tasks in the resistance war;...

Speaking at the Ceremony, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Head of the Central Emulation and Rewards Committee Tran Thi Ha assessed that the emulation and rewards sector of Nghe An province is dedicated, responsible, and professionally proficient. Over the years, it has advised the province to deploy patriotic emulation movements, actively contributing to the socio-economic development of the province; and well implemented the reward policy, especially the reward for achievements in the resistance war.

The Head of the Central Emulation and Reward Committee also requested the sector to continue to pay attention to guiding and urging local departments and branches in the whole province to continue to promote and effectively and substantially implement emulation movements in the spirit of closely following the political tasks, difficult stages, key and urgent tasks of Nghe An province; strengthen coordination with the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations to propagate and mobilize union members to participate in patriotic emulation movements...

Focus on resolving the backlog of awards for achievements in the resistance war.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, acknowledging, praising and congratulating the achievements of the Emulation and Reward Board, comrade Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee proposed a number of key tasks in the coming time for the officials working on emulation and rewards and the Standing Emulation and Reward agencies of agencies and units in general, the Emulation and Reward Board in particular, along with all levels and sectors.

In particular, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized the need to direct, guide, and deploy a number of key emulation movements launched by the Central Government in accordance with the province's characteristics, not launching them indiscriminately or in a formal manner; pay attention to rewarding civil servants, public employees, those directly involved in production, workers, farmers, and giving extraordinary rewards.

Focus on inspection and supervision of emulation and reward work at the grassroots level; urge all levels and sectors to focus on resolving the backlog of rewards for achievements in the resistance war for youth volunteers who have completed their tasks in the resistance war, and Heroic Vietnamese Mothers for the remaining eligible subjects; promptly deploy the work of exchanging rewards in kind.

On this occasion, the Emulation and Reward Committee, Nghe An Provincial Department of Home Affairs and two officers of the committee were honored to receive the Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister for their outstanding achievements in work from 2013 to 2017, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.

Comrade Vuong Van Khanh - Deputy Head of the Emulation and Reward Board was honored to receive the Third Class Labor Medal from the President for his outstanding achievements in work from 2012 - 2016, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.
