Localities hand over charity houses to poor households

(Baonghean.vn) - On October 17, poor households in Quynh Luu and Tan Ky districts were handed over gratitude houses and charity shelters.

*In Tan Ky,The Association of War Veterans of Tan Ky district coordinated with the Association of War Veterans of Huong Son commune to organize the inauguration ceremony and handover of a gratitude house to the family of war veteran Hoang Kim Dung in Xuan Huong hamlet, Huong Son commune.

Due to difficult economic conditions, the family of veteran Hoang Kim Dung had to live in a dilapidated house. The Veterans Association of Tan Ky district and province mobilized donations to help her family build a new, solid house to stabilize their lives.

The level 4 house was built with a total cost of more than 127 million VND, of which the Vingroup charity fund supported 50 million VND, the remaining cost was supported by family, relatives and members of the Association of War Veterans of Huong Son commune.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Kiem is a poor member. Her husband died early. She is currently raising a small child. Her house is cramped, makeshift, and has seriously degraded.

The Women's Union of Quynh Lam commune mobilized members to support 10 million VND, and the district fund for the poor supported 10 million VND to build a "warm house of love" for her family.

After nearly 3 months of construction, the house now has 3 rooms and an area of ​​80m2.2 with a total value of 120 million VND has been completed and put into use.

At the handover ceremony, the local government and organizations also presented many meaningful gifts to Ms. Kiem's ​​family, encouraging her family to overcome difficulties to soon stabilize their lives and escape poverty sustainably./.
