Ukraine admits: US cannot save if Russia mobilizes troops
Although the US-Ukraine relationship has been constantly improving, especially in the military field, Kiev still admits that the US cannot help if Russia goes to war.
According to the latest information from the Ukrainian Military Information Portal, the military attaché of the US embassy in Kiev proposed transferring to the Ukrainian Navy a number of used destroyers of the Oliver Hazard Perry class.
"Despite their age, the Oliver Hazard Perry ships are powerful enough to significantly increase the defense capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov," the statement said.

The US side said that the US destroyer was transferred as part of a program to sell military equipment and unused assets to other countries. Previously, the Ukrainian Navy had received two ships. Before officially making this announcement, the US also provided a lot of military equipment and lethal weapons to the Ukrainian Government Army.
However, according to Oleg Voloshin, former spokesman for the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry and now a political analyst, no matter how close Kiev is to the US and how many weapons it receives, if Russia goes to war, the US cannot help and Ukraine will quickly be defeated.
According to Mr. Oleg Voloshi, in that war if Kiev uses American means such as anti-tank missile systems and destroyers, all will be in vain.
"It will not be possible to save ourselves if we encounter Russian strategic air forces or cruise missiles, bombers... I am sure everyone understands that in a war when Russia uses all of its military power, we will lose within a week at most," the former Ukrainian diplomat admitted.
