Car tire exploded, blowing away mother and child standing nearby

The accident occurred at an auto repair shop in Danjiangkou city, Hubei province, on October 12, the official social media account of Danjiangkou police said. The mother, whose name has not been released, worked at the garage.
According to police, two male workers at the factory left the tire being inflated while they went to do other work. Shortly after, the mother carried her child out of the garage, unaware of the danger lurking.

As the mother walked out onto the road, the tire suddenly blew out. She was thrown into the air and hit the ground while her son was blown further away.
Store staff immediately rushed over and helped both of them up. The baby was seriously injured, while the mother only suffered minor scratches.

The cause of the incident was that the garage employee forgot to turn off the air pump.
