Emergency arrest of subject transporting large quantity of pangolins and rare turtles
(Baonghean.vn) - Using a motorbike to transport a large number of rare turtles and pangolins for sale on National Highway 7, a young man in Ky Son (Nghe An) was urgently arrested.
At 1:00 a.m. on October 25, while on patrol, the Anh Son District Police (Nghe An) discovered a man riding a motorbike carrying goods with many suspicious signs.

Requesting to stop the vehicle and check the goods, the authorities discovered the vehicle was carrying 24 turtles and 5 pangolins.
The man detained along with the motorbike as evidence is named Luong Van Keo (born in 1986), residing in Nam Can commune, Ky Son district.

Initial appraisal results show that this is a number of rare animals on the list of prohibited transportation and trade. The total value of the goods is about 200 million VND.

Currently, the authorities are criminally detaining Luong Van Keo to continue to expand and clarify the investigation.
