Russian experts say that the strengthening of the US arsenal in Europe is related to deterring Russia, as well as the possibility of preparing for a war.
Editor-in-chief of the magazine "National Defense" Igor Korotchenko commented: "This is a signal that the United States is seriously considering the possibility of launching a war in Europe. For that reason, they have begun to strengthen their military arsenal. The transfer of large amounts of equipment to Europe is associated with the possibility of entrusting the US Air Force with military missions. Against whom? There is clearly only one opponent here, the Russian Federation".
Mr. Korotchenko noted that the increase in the arsenal signals a change in the operational plan for Russia.
"The growing probability of a military conflict with Russia has led them to transfer more weapons of mass destruction to Europe, which could be used by a US combat unit in the event of war," the expert said.
Meanwhile, editor-in-chief of the magazine "Arsenal of the Fatherland" Viktor Murakhovsky commented that the above actions are in line with the US strategy to deter Russia. "This is within the framework of the US campaign called Operation Atlantic Resolve," Mr. Murakhovsky shared:
This is a series of activities aimed at modernizing and improving military infrastructure. Many small airports, seaports, terminals, canals and main roads are being modernized. This is happening mainly in Eastern European countries, especially in Poland and the Baltic states, but also in Norway, Germany, Bulgaria, Romania and many other countries.
The plan envisages the deployment of 30 battalions, 30 air squadrons and 30 warships within 30 days on NATO's "eastern flank". Therefore, they will not only build infrastructure, but also increase ammunition, fuel and more."./.
