Activities to support the poor in local areas.
(Baonghean.vn) - On October 29th, activities to support the poor and students took place in Thanh Chuong, Quy Chau, and Tan Ky districts.
*Ngoc Lam Border Guard Station (Nghe An Border Guard Command)A ceremony was recently held to hand over the first batch of breeding pigs in 2018 to poor and near-poor households in Ngoc Lam, Thanh Son, and Hanh Lam communes (Thanh Chuong district).

Accordingly, 24 breeding pigs were provided as support to 12 poor and near-poor households in the area. Along with donating the breeding pigs, the Ngoc Lam Border Guard Station also provided guidance on breeding techniques and veterinary care to ensure the pigs thrive, helping poor people in the three border communes to develop their economy and escape poverty.
* Chau Hoi Kindergarten (Quy Chau)A breeding cow worth over 10 million VND was donated to the family of Ms. Dang Thi Hang, a poor household in the 8/3 village, Chau Hoi commune.

The money for the donated cow was contributed by the school's officials, teachers, and staff. This is a meaningful act aimed at helping Ms. Hang's family rise out of poverty sustainably.
* Huong Son Kindergarten (Tan Ky)In coordination with doctors and medical staff from the commune's health station, they organized health check-ups for over 160 ethnic minority students at Tan Son school.

This school is located in a remote area of the commune, primarily serving children from ethnic minority communities in Tan Son 1 and Tan Son 2 hamlets. During the health check-up, in addition to instructing children on personal hygiene and disease prevention, teachers also received advice on early detection and treatment of hand, foot, and mouth disease, dengue fever, and other illnesses.
