A personal flying vehicle that combines the design of a drone and a four-wheeled motorbike will reach customers next year.

Russian company Hoversurf has started taking pre-orders for its Scorpion 3 personal flying car,Long RoomThe vehicle has been redesigned with a new battery pack and a carbon fiber frame. Scorpion will fly at an altitude of 5 meters, can reach a maximum speed of 96 km/h but is limited by speed regulations in each country.

The Scorpion's lithium-manganese-nickel hybrid battery pack provides a flight time of 10 to 25 minutes, depending on weather and pilot weight. The vehicle also features a remote-controlled drone mode that can fly for 40 minutes. "The size of the personal flying vehicle allows it to roll through a standard door frame and is capable of taking off and landing from a regular parking space," Hoversurf said.

The Scorpion personal flying car costs $150,000 and the expected delivery time is about 2-6 months after receiving the order. "The weight of the flying car is 114 kg according to regulations. Reducing the weight of the frame allows us to install a larger capacity battery. The safe height is 5 meters above the ground, but the pilot can adjust it as desired," Hoversurf shared.
