Nghe An: Approving the plan to set up boundary markers for the Khe Bo hydropower corridor

(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An province has just issued Decision No. 4762/QD - Provincial People's Committee approving the plan to place markers to protect water resources for Khe Bo hydropower plant.

Khe Bo Hydropower Plant has a reservoir capacity of 97.8 x 106 m3water, normal water level is 65m, dead water level is 63m, lake surface area is 9,566km2, dam crest elevation is 70m.

The protection range of the Khe Bo hydropower reservoir corridor is determined as the area from the border with elevation equal to the highest water level corresponding to the design flood to the border with elevation equal to the reservoir clearance elevation.

Currently, Khe Bo hydropower plant has completed site clearance.

The construction plan for placing markers and establishing boundary marker records for the protection corridor of water resources of hydroelectric reservoirs must meet the current characteristics and technology to ensure compliance with current regulations.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned Vietnam Electricity Development Joint Stock Company to pay for the cost of setting up reservoir safety corridor markers and handing over boundary markers to the communes of Tam Quang, Tam Dinh, Yen Thang, Tam Thai, Thach Giam, Xa Luong, and Luong Minh (Tuong Duong).

In case the reservoir corridor is encroached or illegally used, promptly report to the local authorities and functional agencies for handling.
