Still confused in clearing violations of traffic safety corridors in Thai Hoa town
(Baonghean.vn) - This is one of the contents raised at the meeting between the Legal Committee of the Provincial People's Council and the People's Committee of Thai Hoa town on the afternoon of November 2 according to the program of surveying a number of Resolutions issued by the Provincial People's Council related to the field of traffic and transportation.

Clearance rate reached 82%
Through a field survey, the working group of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee acknowledged that the implementation and direction of Resolution No. 56/2016/NQ-HDND dated December 16, 2016 of the Provincial People's Council stipulating a number of measures to resolve violations of traffic safety corridors in Thai Hoa town is quite serious, methodical and drastic.
The town has developed and issued a plan; identified key points on each route and central area of the inner city to focus on clearing violations of traffic safety corridors; promoted the exemplary role of cadres and party members, first of all cadres, party members, civil servants in Party agencies, government, Vietnam Fatherland Front and mass organizations.

Accordingly, out of a total of 2,155 cases of traffic safety corridor violations reviewed and summarized in 2017, 1,463 households voluntarily dismantled structures, tents, and canopies located in the traffic safety corridor (no cases required enforcement); the remaining 692 cases are continuing to be cleared. In 2018, out of a total of 1,339 violations, 1,092 cases were cleared, reaching 82%.
Still confused
According to Chairman of the Town People's Committee Hoang Phu Hien, the biggest problem at present is that the management of traffic safety corridors at each stage is carried out according to different regulations and subjects on the same route; leading to the current situation where traffic safety corridors on many routes, especially in the inner city, are still in disrepair, with different entrances and exits, even though people are using the exact area of land they have been granted.

In addition, some land use right certificates issued in the past overlapped the road corridor, making it difficult to determine the scope and clear the road. On the other hand, after many upgrades and expansions of many roads, currently, determining the road center or road edge is relatively difficult, making it difficult to propagate, mobilize, and clear the road safety corridor violations.
Concluding the meeting, Deputy Head of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee Thai Thi An Chung suggested that the town continue to promote propaganda to raise awareness and sense of responsibility, thereby creating a shift in action from the people to ensure the sustainable clearance of traffic safety corridors.

At the same time, the town also directed communes and wards to resolutely resolve violations that have been recorded and have measures and solutions to prevent new violations and re-encroachment, ensuring discipline and order in traffic safety.
Along with clearing traffic safety violations, the town also needs to pay attention to urban beautification; allocate funds to serve the work of clearing traffic safety corridor violations in the area more effectively and sustainably.
