Shocked with the woman who went bankrupt with 400 billion VND
Nhan mobilized capital with a promised interest rate of 6-12% per month but did not fulfill the commitment.
On the afternoon of November 2, Quang Tri Police executed an order to prosecute and temporarily detain Tran Thi Nhan (32 years old, residing in Dong Luong ward, Dong Ha city) for four months to clarify the act of fraud and property appropriation.
Colonel Tran Xuan Vinh, Deputy Director of Quang Tri Police, said that a month ago, Quang Tri authorities worked with Nhan to clarify the information about her alleged loan of a large amount of money, promising to pay very high interest rates of 6-12% per month. In August, she showed signs of being unable to pay, repeatedly breaking her promise to pay interest.
One person said that she believed Nhan needed money to invest in real estate, do business, and repay the bank loan, promising to pay the interest in full, so she lent her nearly 47 billion VND. Several people reported lending Nhan large sums of money, up to 80-170 billion VND. Nhan's initial default amount was estimated at nearly 400 billion VND.
In addition to borrowing money directly, Nhan also mobilizes through many intermediaries.
