America is controlled by Russian defense

According to a new ranking of the world's air defense power by Defense News, Russia is the number one power and has a global impact.

Mr. Igor Korotchenko, Director of the Center for Analysis of World Arms Trade, stated this when commenting on the Defense News ranking.

"In the segment of air defense and anti-missile defense weapons, Russia occupies an absolute leading position. Behind us are the United States, NATO countries and countries with developed military industries.

Being included in this ranking means that we are playing in the big league of military-industrial powers. This is a great achievement, if we take into account that the agency that conducted the ranking is the American publication Defense News, whose attitude towards us is clearly unfriendly, but they could not resist the facts," said Mr. Korochenko.

Russian defense systems always give America headaches.

The Russian expert stressed that currently dozens of countries are buying air defense missile systems and short-, medium- and long-range missile complexes from Moscow. Such demand is linked to the fact that the presence of modern air defense systems in one country or another is a basis for ensuring sovereignty.

Not only is it ranked number 1 in the rankings, but the US intelligence agency (CIA) also pointed out that the S-500 system alone is enough to control the US Air Force around the world.

According to a US intelligence report, the S-500 system has successfully tested detecting an airborne target at a distance of 481km, setting a new world record compared to previous missile systems. However, this range is still relatively modest when considering the technical specifications previously planned for the S-500.

If Russia were to deploy the S-500 to its Kaliningrad enclave, it could intercept hostile targets across Poland and much of Germany, including Berlin. If deployed to the Far East, the S-500 could severely impact US military operations from bases in Japan and South Korea.

The S-500, along with the R-37M long-range air-to-air missiles equipped on new-generation fighter jets specifically used for AWACS hunting missions, will be the key factor causing the US Air Force to "early retire" its support aircraft.

The Joint STARS Surveillance Radar System (JST) E-8 is an example. The head of the US Air Force, Heather Wilson, said that the E-8 is almost useless in a major war with advanced military power.

"Russian air-to-air missiles, especially the S-500, have longer ranges, and our planes would be shot down on the first day of conflict," the official told a Senate subcommittee.

Meanwhile, the threat will be raised many times over for the US military's AWACS and aerial refueling aircraft. Both play an important role in air combat operations, without which the survivability of fighter aircraft will be greatly reduced.

US long-range strategic bombers such as the B-2 Spirit and B-52 Stratofortress are also extremely vulnerable, and their effectiveness will be significantly reduced as modern escort fighters are unlikely to be able to counter missile systems such as the S-500.

Thus, according to the CIA, if the S-500 is deployed, US Air Force operations around the world will be seriously affected by Russia's terrifying air defense system.
