Awarding the special project team that captured nearly 400 kg of firecrackers from Kon Tum to Nghe An for sale
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 7, Nghe An Provincial Police organized an award ceremony for the 818P project team for their outstanding achievements in eliminating a ring that illegally bought and transported a large quantity of firecrackers from Cambodia and Laos through the Bo Y border gate, Kon Tum province to Nghe An for consumption.
Nearly 400 kg of fireworks were seized from Kon Tum to Nghe An for sale.
(Baonghean.vn) - The two subjects confessed that they took advantage of the time when the firecracker market was not "hot" and the authorities would not conduct strict inspections, so they decided to transport a large quantity of firecrackers from Kon Tum to Nghe An for sale.
Previously, at 3:00 p.m. on November 5, 2018, at Ben Thuy toll station (Vinh City), the Environmental Police Department (Nghe An Provincial Police) and related units coordinated to arrest Nguyen Minh Cuong (born in 1970) residing in Hoa Hieu ward, Thai Hoa town and Tran Van Hung (born in 1981) residing in Bo Y commune, Ngoc Hoi district, Kon Tum province. The two subjects were driving a white Huyndai i10 car with license plate 82A - 032.93 running from Ha Tinh to Vinh carrying many boxes of foreign-made fireworks. The total weight of the above fireworks was 374 kg (including 36-round and 49-round fireworks and string fireworks).

Speaking at the award ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Manh Hung - Deputy Director of Nghe An Provincial Police commended, acknowledged and highly appreciated: during 3 months, the task force verified, fought and encountered many difficulties because the violators mainly operated at Bo Y border gate, Kon Tum province, this is an area with complex terrain, remote, isolated, bordering 02 countries Laos and Cambodia with sophisticated operating methods; the process of transporting fireworks constantly changed, moving by many different routes.
At the end of the ceremony, Nghe An Provincial Police awarded 8 million VND to the Environmental Police Department and related units.
