On the afternoon of November 10, the Nghi Loc District Police Investigation Agency announced that the unit had just issued a decision to prosecute the case and prosecute Nguyen Duc Cuong (born in 1988, residing in Hamlet 3, Nghi Dien Commune, Nghi Loc District) to investigate the crime of "Theft of property".

On the evening of October 30, Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan Anh (in the same neighborhood as Cuong) returned home and discovered that her Iphone 7 Plus and laptop left in the bedroom were gone.
She searched the whole house but could not find it. Thinking that a thief had broken in, Ms. Lan Anh reported it to the police. Upon receiving the report, Nghi Loc District Police sent a working group to verify and examine the scene.
After 3 days of investigation, Nghi Loc District Police had enough grounds to confirm that Nguyen Duc Cuong was the one who stole Ms. Lan Anh's phone and laptop.
At the investigation agency, Cuong confessed that he had been following Ms. Lan Anh's family since the afternoon of October 30. At 6:00 p.m. the same day, when he knew that no one was in the house, Cuong jumped over the wall, sneaked into the bedroom and stole the above property.
Cuong did not hide it but took a taxi to Vinh City, went to a pawn shop, and pawned the computer for 2 million VND. Cuong used the phone to mortgage to a motel because he owed money when staying there.
Nguyen Duc Cuong has a criminal record for theft and illegal possession of drugs. Cuong has just completed a 9-month suspended sentence for 2 days.
