Graduated from the Dance Department of the University of Theater and Cinema, while most of her friends stayed in Hanoi to seek opportunities with big stages, theaters, art troupes... Ngoc Quyen decided to return to her hometown, Vinh City, to start a teaching career.

Since the age of 14, Quyen has always dreamed of becoming a dance teacher. She never thought she was suited for the spotlight, despite the advice of her family and friends.

"Since high school, I wanted to become a teacher. It sounds funny, but I always liked being called 'teacher'. To me, the two words teacher and the teaching profession are the same, they are noble and sacred," the 9X shared.

However, in the first days after graduation, Quyen had the intention of giving up that dream. Every day, she taught 3-4 shifts but the salary she earned was not enough to support herself, let alone take care of her family or help her parents.

Many friends advised the female teacher to switch to business to have more freedom in terms of time and money. She also considered changing careers, but after only a few days off from teaching, she couldn't stand it anymore.

Quyen confided: "What still holds me back in teaching is my passion and my students. Teaching a lot becomes a habit, but if I don't go to class for a few days, I feel a sense of loss and longing."

Her students are of all ages, from kindergarten to college and university students, some of whom are only 1-2 years younger than her. Quyen proudly recounts that many of her talented students have passed the entrance exam to the National Dance Academy.

One of the people who always encourages Ngoc Quyen whenever she feels tired because of work is her boyfriend - striker Nguyen Tien Linh. Quyen said that every time she asks her boyfriend why he loves her, the male player always half-jokingly, half-seriously says that he wants to marry a teacher because she is very good at taking care of children.

The two met through social media. Tien Linh was the one who took the initiative to text the female teacher. After 6 months of chatting online and then meeting in person, it was the male player who confessed his love first. Up to now, the two have been dating for nearly a year.

"Our story is just like any other couple and nothing special. Due to the nature of Linh's work and competition schedule, we can't see each other often. But that's why we cherish the time we have together even more," the 9X shared.

In his girlfriend's eyes, Tien Linh is a mature and emotional person. Every morning, he texts her to wish her a happy new day, and before going to bed, they also call and chat, sometimes for hours. The football player always remembers every anniversary and special day to send gifts and wishes to his girlfriend.

According to the schedule ofAFF Cup 2018, November 20 is the match between Vietnam and Myanmar. Therefore, Tien Linh sent flowers and gifts to his girlfriend in advance.

He told her he would try to score in this tournament as a gift for his girlfriend. Quyen really hoped he would fulfill his wish and bring victory to the team.

As for her, a boyfriend who always understands and cares for her is the best gift: "Linh said that he loves the person I am when I teach dance. That makes me more confident in my choice 13 years ago.

Me too, I feel that the image of my boyfriend running on the soccer field is always the best. We love each other for who we are and become the motivation to help each other strive and pursue our passion."
