Awarding Certificates of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee to 4 coaches and 17 athletes with high achievements
(Baonghean.vn) - On November 22, the Department of Culture and Sports held a meeting and announced the decision to commend the People's Committee of Nghe An province for coaches and athletes with high achievements in mass sports tournaments in 2018.
On behalf of the industry leaders, authorized by the Provincial People's Committee, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong - Deputy Director of the Department awarded the Certificate of Merit for the "2018 National Family Table Tennis and Badminton Tournament" to 2 coaches and 6 athletes; Certificate of Merit for the Sports Tournament "Cultural Festival of Ethnic Groups in the Central Region 2018" to 2 coaches and 11 athletes who had excellent achievements and won various medals at the competition.
Accordingly, the "2018 National Family Table Tennis and Badminton Tournament" in Table Tennis with 5 categories: 34-year-old couples; 36-45-year-old couples; father and son 56 years old and older; mother and daughter 56 years old and older; father and daughter 36 to 45 years old won 5 medals, including: 01 gold medal, 01 silver medal and 3 bronze medals.

Sports Tournament "Cultural Festival of Central Ethnic Groups 2018" Slingshot won 7 medals (including 2 gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze); Crossbow shooting won 8 medals (including: 0
4 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 2 bronze medals); Pole Pushing with 2 events for men and women with weight classes won 10 medals (including 2 gold medals, 6 silver medals and 2 bronze medals); Men's Tug of War won 1 bronze medal, ranked second place for the entire delegation of 11 provinces, cities and sectors nationwide participating.

The outstanding achievements that the athletes have achieved come from the vibrant mass sports training movement of the districts of Tuong Duong, Que Phong, Quy Chau, Con Cuong, Yen Thanh, of the Electricity sector, Nghe An Newspaper... and schools, of which the most typical is the Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities of Tuong Duong district.
