A male passenger living in Hanoi successfully brought 3 guns through a French airport but left them behind when he arrived at the airport for fear of being discovered by customs.

On November 23, the Tan Son Nhat International Airport Customs Branch coordinated with the Department of Economic Security (Ministry of Public Security) to arrest a 41-year-old man (residing in Hanoi) on charges of illegally transporting weapons to Vietnam.

Previously, Tan Son Nhat airport customs discovered an abandoned personal suitcase containing 3 pistols and 4 ammunition boxes. This luggage belonged to flight VN10 from Paris (France) to Vietnam.
