Nghe An: Caught red-handed illegally transporting 15 wild animals
(Baonghean.vn) - Authorities seized 7 bamboo rats, 6 monkeys and 2 weasels from a car of a hired transporter. The case is currently under further investigation.
According to initial information, at around 12:30 on November 26, the Traffic Police Team of the Mobile Police Company (Mobile Police Department of the Provincial Police) was on duty in front of house number 251, Phong Dinh Cang Street, Truong Thi Ward - Vinh City when they discovered a car with license plate 37K1 - 675.12, Honda brand, driven by Luong Van Linh (born in 1970), residing in Hamlet 3, Nghi Thai Commune, Nghi Loc District, carrying a number of suspicious sacks.

Through inspection, the authorities caught the subject red-handed transporting 7 bamboo rats, 6 monkeys and 2 weasels; all were dead.
During the on-site investigation, Luong Van Linh confessed that he had hired a man named Phuong to transport the wild animals for him, residing in Huong Son - Ha Tinh.

Immediately afterwards, the working group prepared an initial file to transfer the evidence to Vinh City Forest Protection Department for investigation and handling according to the provisions of law.
