(Baonghean.vn) - Defender Pham Xuan Manh had a successful surgery after 1 day in Singapore. The U23 Vietnam player shared that he is feeling very comfortable and hopes to return soon as planned.

After the 18th Asian Games, Pham Xuan Manh suffered a foot injury, but the doctors diagnosed it as not too serious and he could play after a few weeks. However, when playing in the National Cup semi-final between SLNA and FLC Thanh Hoa, the injury of the U23 Vietnam player became more serious.

According to the examination, Xuan Manh suffered a fractured fibula and had to rest and undergo rehabilitation training at the PVF center in Hanoi until now. The injury was not too serious, making Xuan Manh think about the opportunity to participate in the 2019 Asian Cup.

However, after a while, the young defender's injury recovery process did not progress much, Xuan Manh was forced to go to Singapore for surgery if he wanted to return to the field.

“After the examination, the doctors said I had a fractured fibula and a torn ankle ligament, so this afternoon at 2:00 p.m. I had surgery. The surgery was a success. Thank you to everyone who sent their words of encouragement and prayers for Manh.”

After a few days of surgery, Pham Xuan Manh can be discharged from the hospital and it is expected that the SLNA player will need about 3 months to return to the field. It is known that the total cost of the surgery is about 500 million VND, Xuan Manh was paid in advance by the sponsors Bac A Bank and SLNA.
