Volunteer Saturday for the community in the highlands of Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - On Saturday (December 1), youth union members in mountainous districts enthusiastically participated in volunteer activities for the community, contributing to creating a green, clean, and beautiful landscape, helping the poor and pushing back social evils.
In the border districtKy Son, more than 400 union members, youths, cadres and people of Chieu Luu commune participated in a rally in response to the National Action Month for HIV/AIDS prevention and control in 2018.
After the rally, union members, youth and a large number of people marched along National Highway 7A and several roads in Chieu Luu commune to propagate the harmful effects of HIV/AIDS and how to prevent it.

In the mountainous districtXiangyang, Hoa Binh town union members organized to give 200 "bowls of love porridge" to poor patients being treated at the district medical center.
The program "Bowl of Love Porridge" was launched and maintained by Tuong Duong District Youth Union since the beginning of 2018, organized every Saturday morning. The initial funding source was mobilized from donations from agencies, businesses and philanthropists. Later, it was assigned to the affiliated Youth Union bases to mobilize from contributions and fundraising activities of union members and youth and take turns organizing porridge distribution.

In the districtQuy Chau, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union coordinated with Quy Chau District Youth Union to implement the "Green Fence" project on the road to Thai Co Hoa Tien village, Chau Tien commune. In the morning, more than 500 union members, youth and people of Hoa Tien village planted flower varieties on a road section of about 450m, then handed it over to Chau Tien Commune Youth Union to take care of.

Also on this occasion, the Provincial Youth Union coordinated with Quy Chau District Youth Union and businesses to support 40 million VND to start the construction of a "Warm House of Love" for the family of Mr. Ho Nam Nguyen, residing in Quynh 2 village, Chau Binh commune. It is known that Mr. Nguyen has a particularly difficult family situation, raising a 5-year-old child alone, currently suffering from a serious illness, the house is seriously degraded but there is no money to repair it.
