Previously, on October 3, the Ministry announced the conclusion of the review of the market management inspection process at Con Cung. Accordingly, it determined that the two Deputy Directors of the Market Management Department, Mr. Nguyen Trong Tin and Mr. Tran Hung, had signs of violating the law and regulations on speech.

At a press conference 3 months ago, Mr. Hai promised to announce the results by the end of August. However, after 3 months, the agency still has no final conclusion.

In response to the question of whether the Ministry of Industry and Trade "was slow in announcing the results of handling errant officials", Mr. Do Thang Hai explained, "this is a human-related issue so it must be reported to the competent authorities, done carefully step by step, cannot be rushed".He added that the Ministry will try to have results "in 2018 and not let it drag on until next year."

According to the inspection team's conclusion, Mr. Tin made inaccurate statements about Con Cung's violations at a meeting of the National Steering Committee against trade fraud, smuggling and counterfeit goods (Committee 389). Mr. Hung provided information related to the incident during an inspection at the enterprise without proper authority.

"The actions of the two leaders of the market management force caused negative effects, misunderstandings, and incorrect understanding of the nature of the incident in public opinion as well as affected the business activities of enterprises," the conclusion of the Ministry of Industry and Trade stated.

This customer claimed that the product label had been cut off and replaced with a "Made in Thailand" label. Since being suspected, Con Cung has continuously denied and provided evidence to confirm that it does not sell fake or counterfeit goods in its issued announcements.

The conclusion of the inspection on Con Cung's compliance with production and business laws was announced by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in mid-August. This enterprise did not violate the law on selling fake goods of origin as previously suspected, but only made mistakes in promotion, e-commerce...
