District in Nghe An earns 500 billion VND/year from labor export
(Baonghean.vn) - On average, each year in Dien Chau district (Nghe An), about 1,000 people go to work abroad for a limited period of time in markets such as Japan, Taiwan, Romania... and each year they transfer back about 500 billion VND.
Dien Bich is a coastal commune, people's lives mainly depend on fishing, but in the past 2 years, about 50 people in the commune have gone abroad to work each year. Thanks to the income from working abroad, many households here have escaped poverty and become well-off.
Originally from a poor family, Ms. Vu Thi Thu in Hai Trung hamlet, Dien Bich commune has 3 children working abroad in Taiwan, saving and sending back nearly 400 million VND to their family every year. Thanks to that, her family has been able to build a spacious house and buy expensive items. Ms. Vu Thi Thu said that her children work abroad with reputable companies so they have a stable income, and after paying off their debts, they also help build a house for their parents.

Currently, the whole Dien Nguyen commune has 285 people working abroad in Japan, Taiwan, Korea... each year, this force not only sends back to their families about 40 billion VND, but also volunteers to contribute to local movements of over 200 million VND. This is the result of promoting propaganda and raising awareness for local workers: strictly follow the contract signed with partners, do not stay after the contract expires.Dien Nguyen is currently one of the five typical communes of Dien Chau district in labor export work.
Mr. Dam Van Hien - Chairman of Dien Nguyen Commune People's Committee said that the commune has created all conditions for documents for children to borrow capital to work abroad. From the income from working abroad, many families in Dien Chau have escaped poverty and become rich; many households have invested in construction and economic development, becoming typical models in the locality. Also from this force, every year they have contributed to building new rural areas, changing the face of rural areas.

This result was achieved thanks to Dien Chau promoting vocational training solutions; each year, over 500 workers are trained and provided with vocational guidance... The communes have done a good job of supporting workers to access loans from banks. At the same time, they have done a good job of propaganda to raise awareness and guide people to find reputable labor export organizations under the management of the district to avoid losses.
The positive results in labor export have contributed significantly to social security in the area. However, in addition to actively promoting labor export to potential markets, Dien Chau is currently also trying to mobilize families with children working illegally abroad to bring them back to the country to ensure safety and compliance with legal regulations.
