Many charity activities support the poor and disabled
(Baonghean.vn) - On December 6, localities, agencies and units in the province organized meaningful social charity activities to support poor households and people with disabilities.
*InNghia Dan,Nghe An Provincial Red Cross Society coordinated with the organization "Giving Back Childhood" to present 15 wheelchairs and rehabilitation equipment to 15 disabled people in difficult circumstances in the district.
At the donation ceremony, Red Cross staff trained and instructed disabled people and their relatives on how to disassemble and use wheelchairs.

This is a small gift to encourage and motivate vulnerable people to overcome difficulties, integrate into the community, and stabilize their lives.

*On the same day, the Provincial Red Cross Association coordinated with the organization "Giving Back Childhood" to give wheelchairs to 10 people with disabilities, people with serious illnesses, and people with poor mobility in Tien Phong commune, Thong Thu commune, and Nam Nhoong commune, Que Phong district.
Disabled people are given vehicles and given specific instructions and training on how to use them and exercise while sitting in them.

On this occasion, the Provincial Red Cross also awarded 4 scholarships sponsored by a charity fund to 4 poor students who have overcome difficulties and excelled in their studies in the district; each gift is worth 500,000 VND/month, granted for 9 months. At the end of the school year, any student who continues to achieve the title of excellent student will have their application reviewed by the fund for a scholarship in the new school year.

This time, Nghe An Provincial Rehabilitation Hospital organized the donation of 10 wheelchairs, 1 hearing aid, 6 training frames, and 4 walkers to the disabled.

*Tan Ky DistrictOrganize the distribution of iodized salt and soup powder to poor households in 16 communes in the district.from 01/12-07/12.The allocation is carried out in accordance with Decision No. 102/2009/QD-TTg, dated August 7, 2009 of the Prime Minister on direct support policy for poor households in difficult areas.
Accordingly, the district has distributed 54,996 kg of salt and iodized soup powder to 3,841 poor households. On average, each person is distributed 2 kg of iodized salt and 2 kg of iodized soup powder.
