Weather 12/9: Central region beware of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind during thunderstorms
(Baonghean.vn) - According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, today and tonight, in the provinces from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen, there will continue to be rain, moderate rain and thunderstorms.

Currently (December 9):Due to the influence of cold air combined with wind convergence in the upper westerly wind zone, in the provinces from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien Hue, there has been rain, moderate rain with rainfall (from 7:00 p.m. on December 7 to 1:00 a.m. on December 9) commonly 23-50mm;
Particularly, the provinces from South Nghe An to Quang Tri had heavy to very heavy rain with rainfall of 100-250mm, some places had more like Vinh (Nghe An) 286mm, Ha Tinh 280mm, Dong Ha (Quang Tri) 379mm. In the provinces from Da Nang to Khanh Hoa, due to the influence of disturbances in the upper easterly wind zone, there was rain last night, some places had moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms.
Forecast:During the day and tonight, in the provinces from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen, there will continue to be rain, moderate rain and thunderstorms with common rainfall of 20-40mm; during the day, there will be heavy to very heavy rain in some places with rainfall of 80-150mm. During the storm, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.Disaster risk level: level 1
