Democratic, objective and constructive evaluation of those who are voted for

... Up to this point, the whole province has passed the halfway mark of the 2016-2020 term. A journey with many difficulties and challenges, but under the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee, practical innovations in the organization and operation of the Provincial People's Council, and the drastic management of the Provincial People's Committee, with the efforts of the entire political system, sectors, levels, people of all walks of life and the business community; the province's socio-economy has developed quite comprehensively, the economic structure has shifted in the right direction, social security and people's lives have been gradually improved, national defense and security have continued to be maintained, and the position of Nghe An province in the region and in the country has been increasingly consolidated.

Entering 2018, with new efforts, the socio-economic, defense and security situation of the province continues to develop and achieve many good results. Although there are still many difficulties and challenges, the results achieved up to this point have a very important meaning of creating momentum for the following years in carrying out political tasks, meeting the aspirations of voters and people of the province in the face of increasingly high demands.

In that context, at the 8th Session, the Provincial People's Council will discuss and decide on many important contents.

With the supervisory function, the Provincial People's Council will review and evaluate the socio-economic situation and state budget in 2018, decide on the socio-economic development plan and state budget in 2019; review reports of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Council Committees, the Provincial People's Committee, and judicial agencies; report on the results of handling voters' opinions and recommendations; report of the Provincial People's Council Supervisory Delegation on the results of thematic supervision and related reports, and conduct questioning on a number of emerging issues that the Provincial People's Council delegates and voters of the province are interested in.

The meeting will hear a report on the results of the 6th session of the 14th National Assembly by the provincial National Assembly Delegation, an announcement on the activities of the Fatherland Front participating in government building, and opinions and recommendations of local people.

With the decision-making function, based on the consideration of the submissions of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council and the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial People's Council will discuss and approve 22 resolutions on the socio-economic, judicial and personnel fields under its authority. These contents have been seriously and elaborately prepared by the Provincial People's Committee and Provincial People's Council agencies, ensuring requirements before being submitted to the Provincial People's Council for consideration and decision.

Also at the meeting, the Provincial People's Council will conduct a vote of confidence for those holding positions elected by the Provincial People's Council. This is a particularly important monitoring content, aiming to demonstrate the recognition and democratic and objective assessment of the Provincial People's Council for the efforts and attempts in performing the assigned duties and responsibilities since the beginning of the term of those who are voted for confidence, helping those who are voted for confidence to have better training and development in the coming time.

... The content of the meeting is extensive and important. This meeting has innovations in content and form. In order for the meeting to ensure the quality and program as set out, we request that the delegates of the Provincial People's Council continue to uphold their sense of responsibility, promote their intelligence, focus on studying the content of the meeting program, evaluate democratically, objectively, impartially and constructively those who are voted for; actively participate in discussions and question-and-answer activities to contribute to the success of the meeting, meeting the requirements and aspirations of voters and people of the province.

Request those who are voted for confidence to perform their duties better, be open-minded to strive for better. Request guests to attend fully and actively contribute opinions to the meeting; Members of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of departments, branches, districts, cities and towns to attend fully, explain issues related to the industry, field and locality they are in charge of as requested by delegates.

During the session, the Provincial People's Council Office will organize online telephone lines to receive voters' suggestions and feedback. It is recommended that central and local press, radio and television agencies strengthen information and propaganda work to promptly and fully convey the activities of the Provincial People's Council to all classes of people.
