Practical activities to support the poor
(Baonghean.vn) - On December 14, localities organized the handover of charity houses and free porridge distribution to the poor.

After more than 3 months of construction, the 48 m2 level 4 house and auxiliary works were completed and put into use, with a total project value of over 180 million VND. Of which, the Charity Fund - Vingroup Group supported 50 million VND, the rest was contributed by the family, members of the Veterans Association and neighbors.
Veteran Phan Van Sam (born in 1953), a member of the Veterans Association of Xuan Son hamlet, is a poor member, with difficulties in housing, often sick. The new house will help veteran Pham Van Sam overcome all difficulties and strive to improve his life.

On this occasion, sponsors, War Veterans Association at all levels, leaders of the district Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and district and commune departments and unions also presented gifts to encourage 8 poor War Veterans Association members and those in difficult circumstances in the area.

* Ky Son District Youth UnionCoordinated with the youth union of local units to organize the program "Bowl of love porridge" for patients at the District Medical Center.
Here, more than 200 portions of porridge were distributed free of charge to patients and their families in difficult circumstances. In addition to donating money to buy food, members of the Ky Son District Youth Union, the District Police, the Ky Son Volunteer Club and the Ky Son District Red Cross Society also directly prepared and served porridge to patients.

Along with maintaining the program “Bowl of love porridge”, in the past 3 years, Ky Son District Youth Union and its affiliated youth organizations have also given hundreds of gifts including warm clothes, warm blankets, books and many school supplies to poor students; over 700 gifts including instant noodles, necessities and clothes to poor households in difficult circumstances in the district.
