Arrested case of transporting smuggled foreign-made clothes in Vinh City
(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of December 20, Hong Son Ward Police (Vinh City) discovered and arrested a case of transporting nearly 12,000 smuggled clothing products of all kinds.

During the patrol and control to ensure security and order and prevent commercial fraud during the Lunar New Year on Cao Thang Street in Block 23, Hong Son Ward, Hong Son Ward Police discovered a truck with license plate 29H - 051.28 driven by Nguyen Ngoc Hien (born in 1995), residing in Thach Binh, Nho Quan District, Ninh Binh Province, unloading goods to transport to Vinh market.
The authorities conducted an inspection and discovered that the vehicle was carrying 11,923 pieces of clothing of various types manufactured abroad. The total value of the shipment was 920 million VND. At the time of inspection, the vehicle owner could not present any invoices or documents proving the origin of the said shipment.

Determining that these were smuggled goods, Hong Son Ward Police coordinated with the Economic Police Team (Vinh City Police) to draw up a record to temporarily detain all the goods to complete the file for handling according to the provisions of law.
