Providing new knowledge on foreign information for officials and civil servants
(Baonghean.vn) - That was the purpose of the training conference on foreign information work organized by the Provincial People's Committee on the morning of December 21.
Attending the training course were representatives of leaders of departments, branches, People's Committees and Departments of Culture and Information of districts, cities and towns; representatives of local press agencies and central press agencies in the area.

At the training session, leaders of departments, branches, districts, cities and towns were introduced by comrade Tran Viet Thai - Deputy Director of the Institute of Strategy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the position and importance of foreign information work in the new situation, the policies and guidelines of the Party and State on foreign information work; and instructions on the management of foreign information activities.

In addition, the conference also heard information about outstanding events in the world's political and economic situation in 2018; Vietnam's relations with the US, Russia, China and Asian countries; issues related to current US-China trade; the role of foreign information in propaganda work, orienting public opinion, especially at a time when the world situation is volatile.
The conference aims to update and provide the latest basic knowledge on foreign information; update the Party and State's policies and guidelines on foreign information for specialized staff.

Thereby, improving responsibility and skills in organizing and implementing foreign information work at agencies, units and localities, especially in the face of distorted arguments from hostile forces, contributing to affirming the position and image of the country in the period of comprehensive integration.
