"Quang Hai's talent has gone far beyond the domestic league. This is the right time for him to move to a bigger and more challenging league. Currently, Qatari club Al Sadd and Japanese Second Division club Renofa Yamaguchi along with a big club in Thai League are very interested in this player", writer Adwaidh Rajan commented in the article: "5 players who can change clubs after Asian Cup 2019".
Quang Hai has just won the 2018 Vietnam Golden Ball. A few days earlier, he was voted the best player of the 2018 AFF Cup. His free kick against Uzbekistan in the 2018 AFC U23 Championship finals earlier this year was also chosen as the best goal of the tournament.
Quang Hai's journey in 2018 wasFox Sportsnoted: "Quang Hai has conquered Southeast Asia by leading Vietnam to the AFF Cup for the second time. The 21-year-old central midfielder will travel to the UAE as a mainstay of coach Park Hang-seo, who has made his mark across Asia. Looking back at the journey of 2018, continental tournaments are no stranger to the Hanoi star. In January 2018, Quang Hai scored five goals, helping Vietnam become runner-up in the AFC U23 Championship finals. In August, Quang Hai also played an important role in the campaign to help the 'Golden Dragons' finish the Asian Games in fourth place. At the 2018 V-League, Quang Hai also helped his club win the championship. If Quang Hai continues to play impressively in Asia's biggest playground, the Asian Cup, the list of potential destinations for him will continue to increase."
Besides Quang Hai, four other players named by author Adwaidh Rajan are Humam Tariq (Iraq), Vy The Hao (China), Alireza Beiranvand (Iran) and Hwang Ui-jo (South Korea).
