"The Republic of Belarus is a subject of the Union State with the Russian Federation, which applies a unified defense policy. The presence and activities of a military group in the region, which includes all the necessary equipment for defense needs, as well as an adequate response — an effective deterrent and security guarantee for citizens of Belarus and Russia against the possibility of deploying a US military base near the borders of the Union State," Ravkov said in response to a question about the reaction of Minsk and Moscow to the deployment of a US base near the borders of Belarus and Russia.
