A car "pounced" and crushed both legs of a 72-year-old woman.
(Baonghean.vn) - The husband was taking his wife to the market on a motorbike when it collided with a "tiger" truck. The truck's wheels crushed the wife's legs, seriously injuring the husband.
The accident occurred on National Highway 48B, at the foot of the overpass in Block 9, Cau Giat town, Quynh Luu district.

At around 7:30 a.m. on December 26, Mr. Truong Van Chau (75 years old, residing in block 12, Cau Giat town) took his wife, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh (72 years old) on motorbike with license plate 37Z2-7693 to Giat market (Quynh Luu).
When approaching the overpass, Mr. Chau's motorbike collided with a truck with license plate 37C - 22857 traveling in the same direction. Ms. Thanh fell onto the road, her legs crushed by the truck's rear wheel. Mr. Chau was also seriously injured.
Mr. Chau and his wife were taken to the hospital for emergency treatment. Authorities arrived at the scene to investigate the cause of the accident.
