In addition, some types of crime tend to increase with increasingly sophisticated and dangerous methods and tricks of operation such as drug crimes, smuggling, trade fraud, illegal exploitation of forest products and minerals, forest destruction, human trafficking, etc.

In particular, as reported by Nghe An Newspaper, recently, in some border districts, there has been a practice of buying and selling fetuses to China, affecting the local security and order situation, but due to the shortcomings of the legal system, the authorities have not yet been able to handle it.

According to data, from June 2018 to August 2018, Ky Son District Police discovered more than 25 cases of pregnant women in the area being lured and enticed to go to China to give birth and sell their children for 60 - 80 million VND.

Faced with the above situation, over the past year, the Provincial Police and Border Guard have directed professional departments and units to seriously implement the Coordination Regulations, do a good job of grasping the situation, proactively coordinate and advise Party committees and authorities at all levels to comprehensively and synchronously direct policies and solutions to ensure security and order on the two border lines and sea areas of the province.

Through coordination, the increase of all types of crimes has been curbed, preventing passivity, surprise and complicated situations in the border area, effectively serving the cause of local socio-economic development. During the year, the two forces proactively exchanged more than 200 pieces of valuable information; coordinated the fight to discover 15 special cases, arrested and handled 94 cases, 148 criminals and law violators; including a number of large and famous cases and special cases, which were commended and rewarded by the leaders of the two forces.

At the conference, the two units also seriously assessed and reviewed the limitations and shortcomings in the process of implementing the joint action plan, especially in the exchange and processing of information, and basic investigation coordination work...

Speaking at the conference, Colonel Tran Hai Binh - Commander of the Provincial Border Guard and Colonel Nguyen Manh Hung - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police both emphasized that, "with the spirit of "practice goes hand in hand with words", in the coming time, the two units will continue to direct professional departments to organize assessments and draw lessons from the shortcomings and limitations mentioned above; at the same time, deploy working solutions to promptly rectify and overcome in order to further improve coordination and combat cooperation, create a solid and continuous battlefront on the front of crime prevention and control, ensure security and order and social order in border areas and sea routes; contribute to curbing the increase of all types of crimes, not being passive and surprised and causing complications in security and order, for the peaceful and happy life of the people.

At the conference, representatives of the two units' professional departments presented many opinions and proposed specific directions and tasks to further improve the effectiveness of coordination between the two forces of the Provincial Police and the Provincial Border Guard Command in the coming time./.
