The cars will be produced at the Sollers plant in Alabuga (Tatarstan), where it is planned to create a production capacity of 5,000 cars per year. 2019 will prepare for the transition to series production, which will begin in the second half of 2020.
Aurus is currently priced 15% lower than its premium segment rivals (Benley, Rolls-Royce, Mercedes-Maybach), Manturov noted. As production increases, prices could fall further.
It was previously reported that Aurus cars were sold out, orders were filled until the end of 2020.
