According to the planned schedule, the Central Committee will conduct a review of disciplinary actions against officials this afternoon.

Specifically, according to the agenda of the 9th Central Committee Conference, this morning the Central Committee will hold a closed-door meeting to announce the results of the confidence vote that was conducted yesterday afternoon.

Next, Mr. Pham Minh Chinh, Head of the Central Organization Department, will read the presentation on the planning of the Central Committee of the Party for the 2021-2026 term. After studying the documents in the working groups, at the end of this morning, the Central Committee will proceed with the nomination of personnel for the 13th Party Congress.

In this afternoon's closing session, the Central Committee will consider disciplinary actions against officials, conduct questioning and answering sessions, and adopt a resolution of the conference. The 9th Central Committee Conference is also scheduled to conclude this afternoon.

One of the officials who may face disciplinary action this time is Mr. Tat Thanh Cang - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

Previously, at its 32nd session in early December, the Central Disciplinary Committee proposed that the Politburo and the Central Committee consider and impose disciplinary measures, within their authority, against Mr. Tat Thanh Cang for violations previously concluded by the Central Disciplinary Committee.

Specifically, the Central Inspection Committee concluded that Mr. Tat Thanh Cang violated the principle of democratic centralism and working regulations, exceeded his authority, principles, and procedures for handling work, violated the City Party Committee's regulations on the management and use of assets in enterprises owned by the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, and violated legal regulations in deciding on business cooperation policies, project transfers, and land use rights transfers of enterprises under the City Party Committee; approved the policy for the City Party Committee's capital representative to vote on issuing shares to strategic shareholders in enterprises; lacked responsibility, neglected leadership and direction, and failed to inspect and supervise, allowing the assigned area of responsibility to have many legal violations, causing great damage to the City Party Committee's budget.

Furthermore, during his tenure as a member of the City Party Committee, a member of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, and Director of the Department of Transport of Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Tat Thanh Cang violated legal regulations on land and construction investment management by signing decisions approving projects and initialing contracts for the construction of four main roads in the Thu Thiem New Urban Area.

According to the assessment of the Central Disciplinary Committee, "Mr. Tat Thanh Cang's violations are very serious, causing public outrage and greatly affecting the prestige of the City Party Committee, to the extent that disciplinary action must be considered and implemented."
